CHAPTER 1 WEEKEND WONDERS • We are always looking for the perfect project for a quilt retreat or a free weekend for sewing. The quilts in this chapter are ones that will sew up quickly and be ready to quilt by the first of the week.

Starry Chorus • Star blocks dance upon a scale of precut strips.

Colors in Bloom • This quilt works up quickly using precut 5” squares and a simple Four-Patch block construction. A fabric collection with lots of colorful prints makes it lively and fun.

Boxed In • Strips and squares combine in a quilt that you can sew in an afternoon.

Pathways • This quilt has a fun, whimsical design. Using precuts makes it scrappy.

Hop, Skip, Jump • You can make two quilts from a pack of 40 precut 10” squares using this pattern. The block is super easy to make, and the quilt can be sewn together really fast. It’s a great pattern for beginners who want to practice matching seams.

Circle of Life • Strips and squares play together in this modern graphic quilt.

XOXO Quilt • Sew some easy hugs and kisses from one simple block.
